Career Goals

I would like to work with geospatial analysis and data modeling while leveraging my background in software testing and development. I am currently working in the field of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and would like to be able to incorporate GIS into my day to day responsibilities. I am also particularly interested in database design and modeling, scripting for tool development, web design / development, and the display of spatial data and visualizations through the use of maps.

Senior QA Engineer - Fidelity Investments - Durham, NC

CRM QA Lead

January 2012 - Present

Functional QA Lead for the Personal Investing implementation of Siebel CRM used by 8,500 internal phone and branch representatives.

  • QA lead and primary tester for numerous Siebel application releases.
  • Responsible for test plan creation/design/execution and defect reporting and verification.
  • Facilitated defect triage meetings with Project teams.
  • Provided training, daily work direction, and general mentoring for summer interns.
  • Provided training, guidance, and assistance with on-boarding activities for new hires to the CRM QA team

Online Account Opening QA Lead

March 2009 - January 2012

Functional QA Lead for 4 customer-facing web applications responsible for initiating or processing new account openings through Fidelity.com. The largest of them, Account Opening, supported 13 different account types and averaged about 52,000 new account openings per month.

  • Led all day-to-day testing activities for a team of 2-5 global resources through 14 releases of the Online Account Opening applications
  • Implemented a new Test Case methodology for Account Opening that resulted in 30% reduction of redundant cases while increasing coverage, promoting test case re-use, and contributed to a more efficient distribution of resources
  • Responsible for overall test planning and test strategy for all 4 Online Account Opening applications
  • Managed build acceptance and installation into test environments for all OAO releases
  • Coordinated test environment usage between applications during parallel test cycles
